Some neoclassical 19th century frescoes conserved, as well as a interesting gate in the piano nobile. Behind the palace a vast garden survived the 19th and 20th century. According to recent scholarship, the palace is a modernization of a 14th century building. Baldassare Longhena, the most important master builder in Venice in the 17th century, was the author of the project, although the forms are not typical for his formal vocabulary.
