The palace, initially dating from the so-called "byzantine" epoch, was altered before 1806 under its former owner, the senator Giovanni Ascanio Molin. Molin's initals can be found on a coat of arms at the left side of the façade. The palazzo is quite remarkable considering the mixture of different styles on the façade. The arches of fourth order are from the old building, the origin of the other stone parts is unknown. A Molin crest can be found on the façade as well. The palace has a unique c-type plan.
After G.A. Molin's death, the heirs sold the palace to the Lebreton family (of french origin). In the 1940s, a company acquired the palace and restructured it into a office building. The interior decoration, among a ceiling fresco ("Apollo") by Cedini was destroyed. A neoclassical casinò building in the large garden does still exist.
