The palace in simple neoclassic forms (see also Palazzo Merati e Berlendis) and triangular gables above the piano nobile windows has its façade on the Rio di Santa Marina. The continuous mezzanine with a small serliana and transenna above the accordantly low doric portal is an interesting solution. According to later registers of nobility, the Castelli were related with the van Axel, living in the neighbourhood.
