San Francesco della Vigna as seen by the creator of the Venetie MD Venice aerial view (shortly before 1500). Andrea Gritti's large palace was only created around 1505 and substitutes several gothic houses. The current renaissance church of San Francesco della Vigna was rebuilt by Sansovino from 1534 on and replaces the pre-gothic church visible here.
